I don't get the one about the alphabet.. what am I missing?

"lb" does come from Libra because Libra is Latin for "scales". But the weight name has little to do with the constellation and more to do with the whole "being Latin for scales" thing. There's a constellation we call "The plough" but that doesn't mean actual ploughs are named after the constellation.
