the glass floor is cool but, what the fuck is down the abyss of doom?

If I had a bathroom like that, I would so put something down in the darkness that shoots up to right under the floor when someone sits on the toilet. Then I would laugh maniacally as I held the door shut

I wouldn't be able to handle that. I'd want to bust out some rope, break the glass, and rappel down there just to explore.
