Well this looks like a good post to explain my dislike of Twilight on.
I probably wouldn't have a problem about the saga, if you want to call it that, if it wasn't for Bella. I have no problems with the rest of the characters, but Bella is the problem with the story. She is never described once in the series, which is frankly just bad writing. Bella is a character who believes that everything is going wrong for her, even when nothing is. She was willing to allow people to die for her except in one case at the beginning of the series but after that she had no problem with it. At one point Edward even leaves her to protect her and she proceeds to constantly put her self in danger every chance she gets.
Also, she makes all these decisions at the grand age of 17, including the decision to be a vampire, live forever, and watch her family and her human friends die. 17 isn't exactly the best age to be making life deciding decisions, now is it?
Also, she would have worked better as a character back when characters with minimal personalities were okay, because people enjoyed pretending to be them, we are no longer in that time any more.
And yes, she always seems to have to have a boyfriend, that seems to be the most important thing to her, and when she gets one who actually cares about her she leaves him for the sparkly vampire, and then goes back to him, and leaves him, and goes back to him, and leaves him. If Bella died at any point in the series thing would have actually turned out better for the rest of the characters.
And Jacob becomes a pedo and falls in love with Bella's DAUGHTER. I DONT CARE THAT YOU GUYS TRY TO SAY THAT HE STOPPED AGING OR WHAT EVER ITS STILL WRONG.
You don't have to like it- and you dont have to be an asshole in expressing your dislike. but then again, I don't think Stephen king was really the (target audience) for that "saga."
It is a book, and Stephan King being a famous author was most likely asked a question along the lines of "do you prefer Harry Potter or Twilight?" he's not really being an ass hole in this case he's stating a common opinion.
Target audiences isn't exactly a thing anymore, it was destroyed the day My Little Pony became popular amongst adult men. (Not saying My Little Pony is bad in any way)
