Well there's nothing wrong with using tampons at that age. I probably wouldn't have at the age of 10(although I didn't have my period then). But it seems tampons are the more popular choice now(that I have noticed). Which I can't really blame them. They are a lot more comfortable.

Not really. Different ladies have different symptoms and different pain thresholds. So what one knows may not equate with what another is experiencing. So some women that shouldn't be telling another to suck it up get a pass simply because they're women, and that's pretty sexist.
