It's a giant ruler that they use to measure lumber, pipes, etc at the check out in Home Depot so they ring up the correct price for said length. (Both my parents have worked there.)

Awe thank you! It's just so they don't have to get out a tape measure and lay it flat. Plus sometimes people wanna get a few bucks knocked off.
