It depends on how thick your hair is actually, if its VERY thick you'd have to get a bigget hair tie.

I just end up getting the skinny black headbands that look like giant pony tail holders. I wrap them around a few more times, but at least they hold my hair properly.

This is why I can never do buns with my hair. My elastic either ends up breaking or my bun ends up all lopsided and saggy.

Try the ones that have the knot on them. Like its the circular regular hair Tie but it's tied in a little loop
