Hehe I have a story for this. When I saw the nutcracker last year, the lead ballerina sprained her ankle during the play so the main characters had to improvise. The man touched the peppermint girls costume and shook his head at the girl and did other funny stuff XD I may see that play again sometime :3

I understand that people that play sports can get injured but boy when we do we still have to run out on to the stage looking as graceful and effortless as ever. Even if your toes are killing you or you have blisters all over your feet you still have to push through it and make it look perfect.

I had to dance my concert on pointe with a toe I later found out was broken

Broken toes and lost/cracked toe nails feel just great when dancing on pointe.... Not.

That's true I'm a dancer too and it's a pain in the ass to look that good

Blisters on top of scars from previous blisters and ever-developing ingrown toenails are the best for practicing over and over the week before the show
