True, but the personal cost is so much lower than in the states that it might as well be.

Isn't it because taxes or higher or more well spread out ? ( I wouldn't have a problem with higher taxes in the states if it fixed a lot of stuff)

Yeah I think us Canadians get taxed more to pay for everyone's health care. As far as I know the US doesn't have it because you guys have a market economy and are more individualistic in terms of economics.
