Yea we run around destroying nature because it's fun. This is not deep, it's idiotic, and I hope people who like it end up homeless. Ask yourself one question - where does all my stuff come from. Give it up, go live in a cave wearing animal skins, you hypocrites.
I think it is not about feeling guilty for destroying nature, but to be aware of what nature gives to us and being gratefull for it. Only taking what we need from it with respect, without wasting it. Because we as animals/humans are part of nature and part of a circle that takes and gives. If we usea tree to built something out of it, we should remember to plant one in return. It is maybe too idealistic, but simply having respect can probably bring us closer to nature.
That's the problem. We worship so many different gods arguing over which one is the "true god". We care more about a being we have no proof of than the environment and people. It's ridiculous.
