Different type of tears

Rose-Lynn Fisher published 'The Topography of Tears' after collecting samples and studying the chemical components of our three types of tears; psychic, basal, and reflex. Because of the different chemical and protein components they do look different microscopically.

Maybe the original study was scientifically sound, but I keep seeing the findings misused in pseudoscientific contexts.
