why are you talking abiut pain?

One time when I was a kid they had a belly flop contest at our local swimming pool. The winner got a free candy bar and a drink. Challenge accepted. I was young, maybe like 8 or 9, and I had no idea what to do, I just wanted that candy bar. So people of all ages were in line at the big diving board going one after another. Some would walk to the very end and then just fall into the water, and some would run off of the diving board belly first. Well when it was my turn, (I've never felt the pain of a belly flop off of the top diving board before so I had nothing to fear), I waited until the life guard gave me the signal and when he did.. I sprinted to the end of it, jumped as high as my little legs would allow, hit the diving board with full force and it launched me up into the air. I held my arms and legs out like I was flying, plummeting towards the water. I hit the water belly first, and that's when I knew the pain of the belly flop. The whole front of my body was red as fuck. I won.
