Well, prepare to be un-bugged! Because there are a few types of lions, including the Asiatic lion which lives in: India! They live in their forest, which some would compare to a jungle so..lions can be the king of the jungle.

My dad was in the army, and trust me. Forests are MUCH, MUCH different then jungles.

Wow, ns, that's a bit harsh! Indian forest used to be called jungle by foreigners, which is why the lion is 'king of the jungle'. Also, I'm not sure why you need to be part of the army to comprehend the difference between forests and jungle. But, regardless, I'm just helping out the op here, explaining why lions are referred to as such.

The army part had to do with the jungle/forest thing because he had to stay in both of them for days and nights at a time.

And lions don't really do shit. The lionesses get all te food, raise the children, and protect the pack from other animals, I think. The males only eat food firts, mate with the females, fight with other males, and kill baby lions.
