...Let's say you wake up 1 hour before school starts, at 6am. School ends at three, let's suppose you even spend three hours on homework, that's 11 hours a day. Time 180, that's 1980 hours per school year....times twelve, that's 23,760 hours. But she said, "113,880" hours. Okay...let's go maximum here. 24 hours, times 365.25 ...that's 8,766 hours in a year. Times twelve, that's 105,192 hours. Still almost 9,000 hours short? Can someone correct me on my math, or is hers just awfully wrong?
Although I understand this is a joke, you spent that time learning how to read, how to count, as well as social skills and make your way through life. And although some time might have been spent on unimportant things, most of the knowledge you now have is thanks to those long hours. I would like to see how far you can get without an education. If you cannot see the true value of that piece of paper and that handshake, than they were wasted on you.
