Not necessarily strict parents- alcohol is forbidden for Muslims.

I have strict parents and I've become an amazing liar because of it.

Yes alcohol is forbidden for Muslims, but looking at it isn't a sin.

How do you define strict? I'm considered a strict parent among my peers with children, but my daughter comes to me with everything. She openly tells her friends that I'm her best friend, but we have very clearly defined rules in our house.

I mean, there's strict, like, rules strict(if they're reasonable then it's ok) but then there's strict like enforcing every single action that you do(I know parents like that)

Just like how that nun said, muslims can look at the menu, but just cant order.. ;)
