At first it thought it was going to be an abortion ad

The problem with this ad is that it seems to be placing all the blame on teen girls. I'm pretty sure that most teen pregnancies aren't by choice. I think it would be more powerful to promote sex education rather than just telling girls not to get pregnant.

I agree...I'm not highly experienced in the area but I was always led to believe there had to also be a male participant. People are so worried about sex education giving kids ideas to do it, they don't realise they're actually already doing it (possibly) unsafely.

Maybe this ad is just a reminder of safe sex, and not an abstinence one.

Yes. I don't agree with bottom part about it being the females fault, but I just enjoy the ad itself standing as a reminder for us to be kids, not HAVE kids.

I agree that it takes two to tango, but girls should know that they will have the main responsibility to take care of the baby since a lot of teens guys will just leave. Knowing that, girls have more of a responsibility to control who they let "in"

Yes. Exactly. Choosing to have sex is more of a risk for the girl than the guy, as she's the one who will be forced to physically bear the child, and, in most cases, take care of it.

In Utah, the teachers are not allowed to mention any form of contraception, nor are they allowed to take questions on it. They can only promote abstinence. Just FYI Utah has a mostly Mormon/LDS population.
