As a writer I can say that it hurts me just as much if not more then you. They're my babies! But on the other hand I have to admit it is also really fun.

The book I'm writing at the moment was written like this: Chapter 1 written. Chapter 2 written. Far off chapter where the main character that I only just introduced in chapter 2 dies written. Felt like I needed to write where he was going before I could fill in the rest for some reason.
