If you take it literally, no they can't. But since pastafarism is just a "parody" or joke religion, you could say pastafarists are in fact atheists.

My grade 10 science teacher taught us that you can't prove the existence of flying spaghetti monsters but until you finu one, you can't disprove it either. Good scien cpass that year
