If you only one couch you got dining chairs and the cushions off the couch and layer them around the house making a path for you so you didn't get killed by the lava. That's what my sister and I did. :)

I would jump from one couch to a table to another couch and then back onto the first couch in a sort of rounded triangle. I would continue jumping until my mom arrived and told me not to.
