Actually i think it's more like, your fingers are so terrible that you can't use them to eat.
it's just that because genitals are useless why even have them, unless he can "do the do" then it would be like his fingers for some odd reason perform a pleasurable task, life playing the piano, because you don't exactly need to play piano just like you don't exactly need to have sex.

But the point is she assumed he didn't have them simply because he didn't do one of th things they can be used for. Like assuming someone has no fingers because they can't play the piano.
