I still see it as the first. We've gone through worse. But if we keep a positive attitude we will get better. Complaining only makes people want to give up

I see wealthiest parts of the world as the first but the majority as the second.

Ya know, this view only came about after 9/11, so I think it's more of a US projection of their views on the current geopolitical landscape.
