Impossible, you would have to be past the event horizon to be able to see a black hole.

It's not saying that's what a black hole looks like, it's saying that's what the SKY would look like from a planet close to a black hole.

Jeez guys, THINK about the what you're saying. Adrianpeterson, you ARE seeing. The light bend around it the black hole in the picture is literally that, a hole of blackness BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT THERE. And sablad, what you see in the picture IS the damn event horizon. Seriously, when people try to sound smart...

In the picture it looks like the light is being absorbed. Not how I imagined "Bending"

It's like a funnel bending down exponentially till it is absorbed (I believe)
