There is no comparison between an electronic reading device and a real book. The smell of a book is one of my favorite scents and the sight of overflowing bookcases sure beats an electronic list of digital downloads.
Not to mention feeling your accomplishment as you actually turn each page. Books for life!

All of these are purely subjective though, they are things you take pleasure in because you associate them with reading, not because they have any objective superiority.
I like both. I like being able to carry an entire library with me but not straining my back. I like being able to read in the dark, without struggling with a flashlight (or my phone). I also love the smell of a book and the feel of the pages. I like being able to not worry about my reading material dying in 8 hours. However, the one thing that would win me over to one side or the other is water proofing. I WANT TO READ IN THE HOT TUB GDI.
Ok I understand how some people would want a eReader.
But I will say this:
I will always be more impressed by a persons collection of real books in their home , rather than their collection of ebooks.
