We couldn't wait to grow up

Are you kidding me? I love being an adult, responsibilities and all.

The only reason why I ever wanted to grow up was because I wanted somebody to take me seriously every once in a while, instead of every grown up simply trying to get rid of me for as long as possible. I wanted to be in charge if myself and hated being told what to do.
