No. Legit. This is totally real. How can it be fake, there's a picture of an old guy and a couple lines of text. Oh and it mentions the Guinness world records, it MUST be real.
I was referencing a news article that pointed out a supposed 122 year old man who may or may not be that age that I read in an article researching this man. The only evidence suggesting that man was of that age, died with his doctor. I assumed mgoviea read the same article and I was simply pointing out that the 2 situations were separate and unrelated.
No they spoke about a doctor dying in this article as well. Thus, any logical human would believe that you were speaking of this, as you gave no indication that your statement was pertaining to a completely different and previously unreferenced article.
You're OBVIOUSLY the epitome of human intelligence, because you apparently not only understand the CONCEPT of carbon dating and how it works, but have disproved it. Clearly, you are a learned scholar who is NOT reiterating the teachings of the closed-minded Young Earth creationists who have raised you, but are in fact providing solid evidence to back up your point, instead of mindlessly attacking it by cussing and covering your ears during debates.
Ok caustin12, listen up. Actually ns, you better listen, too. Carbon dating measures the amount of carbon that has disappeared in a deceased organic compound, for example a deceased tree (I specify "organic" so show it would NOT work on a rock). While it can give a rather decent general timeline, it is not always correct. For example: a sea lion who died and one week later, some scientists decided to carbon date the creature. The dating said that the sea lion had been dead for well over 1,000 years. So gentlemen/ladies, you have both proven to talk without giving much evidence to support your cause. Caustin12, you think it's false? Explain why instead of merely flapping your gums. Ns, you think it's true? Give evidence so you don't come across as a know-it-all jerk. Rant over. Thank you.
Also, while we're at it:
- Stories of people with enormous tumours or conjoined twins are usually from China or the United States.
- Stories of people being abducted (and gang-probed) by aliens are usually from Brazil or the United States.
- And stories of people being close to 200 years of age are usually from Caucasus. This story is unuaual in being from another part of the world.
100% FAKE! You can't trust everything you read on the Internet :/ you have to double, no, triple check all the information you find here. The oldest known human died in 1997 at age 122 & was from France. This man's picture was originally a meme.
