Golden Gate Bridge has a suicide net

That makes me wanna jump there!

But people who seriously want to commit suicide will jump onto the net, then off the net

do they really think that's going to stop people from jumping...

I realize this may sound heartless, but I live in the SF bay area but native born. If someone wants to kill themselves, they will. This was a huge waste of taxpapers money when we have roads to fix, people to feed and house and schools in disrepair. This makes me sick.

Hi! I know an engineer who worked on this. After somebody jumps onto the net, it closes over them like a Venus fly trap until help arrives.

That's pretty cool I was wondering how it worked. I thought they could just roll off or something.

They can still jump from the bridge then from the net....
