Actually eating a healthy breakfast, will help you increase your metabolism. Starving yourself will also send the message to your body to hoard fat, so unless your plan to diet is to physically harm yourself from starvation you're not helping yourself much by not eating at all. By not skipping meals and eating smaller portions, exercise, and occasionally indulging your favorite foods, you actually have a great chance to be healthy and happy. Stress from dieting and weight fluctuations is hard on your body, it really puts stress on you.
