And that would be a problem how if the circuit is earthed, parts are isolated and there age safety devices in the circuit?

It's a two pin plug, so it's not properly earthed, and the isolation of parts & presence of safety devices are dependent entirely on the manufacturer of the product and how profit-driven they are. So don't bet on it.
I'm from Australia and literally found this extreme confusing then I remebered that mostly Americans Rome this site and I was like omg they have a different outlet thing whatever it's called *mind blown* and currently feeling: dumb
