They don't celebrate it because they believe that if you celebrate a holiday or birthday you worship that person

and what about the non-religious people? No offense but we don't want you (witnesses in general, not you specifically) pestering us with your religion like that.

But the thing is, if you really hate us calling, all you need to do is put a sign on your door ('No Religious Callers', 'No Jehovah's Witnesses' or 'No Door Knockers' would do the trick.) It's not that hard. Also, you can ask to be put on our blacklist.

I used to be one but I left. I was raised into that religion but due to the fact that my family decided I wasn't allowed to have any sort of communication to the world because if I did I wouldn't be ressurrected, quote my mother said every day so I left the religion when I was 16 to figure myself out. I still believe in the religion I just don't want to be apart of it until I get my mindset right after what my mother had emotionally did to me regarding that religion

I find that the older generation, like my mom, are kinda realllyyyy unnecessarily extreme. I'm sorry for what she did to you, it isn't like that. When my mom tried that I did the research for myself so I'd follow what the bible actually says and not her extremist views

That is exactly wat I did but I decided that if god really cares then he will let me make my own decisions by seeing how the world work is on my own

Sorry for the late reply, and I'm sorry about what your mum did to you. She shouldn't have said those sorts of things if she didn't need to. (If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!) I guess she really wanted you to be in the truth, but she went way overboard and caused you to go the other way. My only advice is, trust in Jehovah and pray to him and he'll help you out.
