Johnny Depp.saved a horse

Some people are sick and open horse slaughter houses. They "humanely" (agh the sarcasm...they call it humane to cover up the evil of it all) shoot horses with a gun and hundreds upon hundreds of horses die like this. The horses that no one buys or adopts can be bought by a kill buyer, sent to a holding pen with no food or shelter for days until they're put to sleep. Sadly, this is where lots of unwanted or wild horses go. It's cruel and just flat out mean. Some of the horses at the barn I ride at are rescues, scared and starving at first and now are the sweetest guys.

I had to write an essay on this in 7th grade... I had a whole two devoted to the cruelty the horses were subjected to during transport and slaughter. I also had to use that essay to get into my current school... It's absolutely terrible, and so many of the horses are sweet and trusting animals.
