Dont get me wrong nothing is better than real books. But on an ebook or tablet its much easier to carry your own library.

And its cheaper and easier to download books. I tend to download books that I feel may be interesting, and if I like them, I buy the book.

Who is reading their whole library by the time they make it back home?

People with very small libraries that have really thin books. Probably the Mr Men collection.

I hate this war between paper books and ebooks! What we should be doing is celebrating that reading is way easier now days and more people are reading than ever!!!

It's not easier, and more people are reading because there's more garbage out there. Kinda like reality tv.

That's actually true. Just because you're reading, doesn't mean you're reading something worthwhile.

I'm not a fan of ebooks simply because I like to reread some things (I find page flipping easier in paper copies) and also to highlight phrases that stand out to me. Other than that, I see a way to read as a way to read. Being digital doesn't make a piece of literature any less of a piece of literature.

Does it matter? I thought that books were about the contents. Not the way they look. You're literally judging a book by it's cover. Down vote me all you want

I read off of a Kindle most of the time, just because eBooks are so much cheaper to download...it's the same content, why does it matter?

Can you imagine how our kids probably won't even know what a traditional paper book is?

I think that's a really exaggerated statement. Paper books are not extinct.

I never said they were. They're becoming extinct.

Not really. E-readers are a lot more expensive than paperbacks.

They're not becoming extinct. There are other alternatives now, but paper books are still being produced equally.
