They also wear shin guards sometimes. When I was still playing, most of my teammates including myself were only wearing the mouth guard. But there are way more rules for tackling correctly e.g. you're forbidden to tackle "above the belt" in rugby.

Honestly I don't even see the point of American football. Like really? You people don't even use your foot. Plus, why does playing football for your school/college make you some sort of celebrity??

These two sports are completely different, the only real similarity is that they're both contact sports
