Not the point. The threat against civilians of a sovereign nation by a crackpot dictator is what caused the problem. The US " doesn't negotiate with terrorists", the threat to harm theatre goers was what caused the delay. Didn't matter if it was Mary Poppins, Exodus, or The Interview. A foreign despot does not dictate what 320,000,000 US citizens do in their spare time. Fuck a bunch of Kim Jongs.
I understand you are sympathetic to the plight of the North Korean citizens, but we waged war with them 60 years ago and left our dead strewn about the place and it is not worth repeating that blunder. When their leadership threatened the health and safety of our citizens is when the line was crossed. You may think it is time to get involved in their internal affairs but I am sick and fucking tired of funding wars in distant corners of the world that aren't worth a pinch of coon shit. We have left the remains of our dead on every continent of this planet "in defense of freedom" and enough is enough. If his people want freedom from oppression let them earn it the old fashioned way. He is not a real threat to the rest of the world, just leave him cordoned off in his little patch of land there.
oh my fucking god i can't take it anymore. the line is, "say i'm gonna kill a gangbanger, or blow up a truck of soldiers. no one panics, because it's all part of the plan. but say i'm gonna kill one measly little mayor. wellthen everyone loses theri minds!" jesus fucking christ people.

Anywho, I don't have it in me to seriously debate this subject, but I will say that that is a dangerous view to have on the subject.
