Ah I agree! I like that much better even though "sympathetic" can suffice, "empathetic" more directly applies to this issue

Even worse is you understand more why you're feeling something, you can't even get the satisfaction of being upset, because most of the time the reason is completely pointless *sigh* 1st world problems

I am have a major in psychology, and despite understanding the underlying reasoning and other factors that may contribute to behaviour and decision making... I CAN SURE AS FUCK STILL GET MAD ON WHY THEY ARE STILL DOING IT!!!. But I do get why they do it.

Knowing the reason why someone does something doesn't justify their actions, but it can help professionals give people the help they need to no longer take those actions.
