My Chem teacher lit his arm on fire and burned his arm hair off. He was fine though, I forgot what substance he put on before he lit the flame.

A long time ago, my chem teacher dropped a small sliver of sodium into a bucket with a gallon of water. It looked cool, a flame darting above the water for two seconds before burning out.

I burned a physical science text book on a bonfire and didn't bother to rip it up. As the book got hot it melted and shrivled up and created a crackle before flipping open... to the page on spontaneous combustion and fire... no joke.

Omg this is so accurate. One day my chem teacher was like "well we havent set anything on fire in a while" and then she lit her hand on fire.
