Mutli-tasking is a lot easier to have different programs on different screens. Also u of all people should know that u should never state an opinion on the internet
I'm talking about jobs like programming or graphic designing where u may need a description of what your drawing or something to run your program. I didn't think much of it either until I've done it myself and I realized how much of a difference it makes.
Depending on the game, it can add to immersion. If you've got screens angled to your left and right and you need to look to your left or right, it adds to the feel of the game when you can physically turn your head and aim your eyes at the left or right screen as the character turns. Or for mecha games where there are multiple status screens, it helps with immersion. Same deal with simulators. And if you're going to use it for a crafting game, it can help to have the game open in one monitor and a wiki guide to crafting on the other.
But I will admit that they're more helpful for work than play.

I agree with mgoveia. I don't do any work on a computer; I only play games. Looking at a game through multiple monitors is like looking through a window that has been framed in different places. One large-ish HD monitor is all I need :D
Also, why bother with them if you have a big screen?
But I will admit that they're more helpful for work than play.
