The Awkward Moment When Your Parents Ask If You Like Anyone

Or when you try to explain ships to them and then they start askin stuff like "Are you in one of what these kids call 'ships'"

Or when they see you with someone and they're like 'are they your boyfriend/girlfriend? Are you dating? How long? Are they nice? Where do they live? Do they have a criminal record?'

My parents don't ask that stuff. :(

Also when you're gay and your parents don't know it and they ask do you like anyone -.-

My parents don't bother, they know I don't have a chance.

My parents have always made feelings like that kind of a joke and it's always been extremely embarrassing for my siblings and I, so when they found out about my first boyfriend I went on a huge rant about why they need to not ask me a million questions and deliberately embarrass me about it. I wasn't expecting it to, but it worked.

No grandmother is far worse

"Who's that boy sitting next to you??? Is he your boyfriend???"
