I've never worked there, but has it ever occurred to you, random ball of text, that maybe their bosses tell them they need to save the company money by not throwing in a ton of condiments unless asked?

The sauces aren't free just because you buy food, if you want some for your fries or extra for your nuggets it's an additional charge. It's something that employees can get in trouble for because it costs money to buy those sauces. Most McDonald's have signs letting customers know about the additional charges for extra condiments.

Can I just say that if we do give excessive amounts of product, we do get in trouble. At times, it DOES come out of our wages if we hand you 5 sauces or a bucket full of serviettes. Customers at fast food places are outraged when we say that it's extra for more sauce, like it costs you $3 to buy a whole 600ml bottle of ketchup from the shop across the street, just get some from there and behave.

Whenever I hear people complain about sauces at fast food places, I think of Marcus Johns Vines... "SAUCES!!!!"

I have worked for McDonalds, and yes, some managers will fire you for giving out free sauces. Stop whining and cough up the fifty cents, cheapskate.
