I used to flush it down with the tiniest part of my finger and then wash my hands thoroughly, but after seeing this I'm thinking about all the germs that have once been on my hands
I actually had a visitor at my job take it upon herself to tell me I shouldn't do that (it was the patient restroom and I was cleaning up with the door open) because people could flush with their hands and get germs.
Yes. My shoes would cover the pristine handle with germs, while the metric fuckton of disease-ridden patients that roll through there day after day wouldn't leave a single bacteria...
Not to mention we wipe everything down with wipes which say on the packaging to wear gloves when using, as the chemicals can absorb into the skin and cause irreversible eye damage.
