Well a nice haircut is better than criminals going to jail because it's better to rehabilitate criminals ( depending on the crime ) rather than putting them in a box where everything is dome for them.

Well if you shoot a person the wrong way it doesn't really matte to them anymore. But a bad haircut? You have to live with that shit!

Well, the training involved in becoming an officer is probably still a lot harder. Doesn't mean it should take longer.

to be fair, barbers have to be able to do a straight shave. which entails holding a straight edge razor to someone's throat.

I also find it quite funny that people who cut your hair (which grows back) needs a license but any person can give a tattoo.

I found that it is not entirely accurate. Some "colleges" sell you a two year degree to become a hair stylist or a beautician, many states require stylists and barbers be licensed. This can require a minimum competency test in sterilization of tools and technique. Many police academies last 6 months. Most police agencies require you to have a 2 or 4 year degree before entering the police academy though.
