Is this your cat?
Shaving animals for other than medical purposes can be said to be abusive. Animals just like humans feel shame when their coat is shaved (like how you would feel if somebody stripped you naked) Obviously the cat is stressed and it seems like the person who shaved it did it just for "decorational" purposes
That is ridiculous, where did you get your information from. I have worked for the RSPCA and have never had or hear of cats having "shame" issues. We regularly shave persian and other long haired cats to help deal with the heat in summer and there is never an issue. They may be a bit uncertain at first but this lasts all of 5 minutes most visably enjoy the relief . I think your anthropomorphizing and projecting your issues on this situation. In some cases its necessary to shave for grooming purposes, this cat in the picture is still at the groomers, it may not be comfortable with its surroundings but i 100% guarantee you its fine.

I'm not talking about "normal" shaving- (trimming animals so that they would have some coat left) If you look at the picture above the cat is shaved almost to its skin. That's unnecessary and many animals express discomfort at being shaved to such a level. Also for some animals with long coats it's dangerous to shave them completely even if they look hot because their fur helps them to regulate heat.
I'm sorry..I don't find this cute at all..Poor thing looks so sad now. I agree with sugarmice, you should only shave an animal for medical purposes. Other than that they are beautiful how they are and do not need to be shaved for 'decoration' or 'just for fun' purposes..
This cat is fine, grooming your cat is ok. Shaving your cats does not harm it unless you are particularly rough or its not a very social cat (alot dont like to be touched in certain places or by strangers). If you groom your cat responsibly its can be beneficial to them, most long hair cats should be shaved in hot climates in summer. I have worked for the RSPCA and we shave cats there regularly. At the most this cat is just not happy with being in a weird groomers.

Was anyone else humming the Jurassic Park song when looking at this?
