I believe it is a variety of jumping spider, which actually hunts it's prey as opposed to spinning a web and waiting. They have the best vision of all spiders. Terrifyingly awesome.

Yep! That's Phiddipus Audax, or the Bold Jumping Spider. They're actually really fun and personable, I kept one as a pet for a couple of months.
