Actually yes he likely can... Either for assault (hitting someone with something they don't want) or for public disturbance. He's also opened himself up to a bunch of civil law suits. There's a reason those protesters just say stuff and don't touch anyone.
I don't want to agree with you simply because this sounds like a lot of fun, but yeah your right. However don't they get in the way too and cause a public disturbance. Like blocking your path into the clinic?
I've never been to one of those protests (on either side), but my understanding is they can only say stuff to you, they can't physiclly touch or block you or even threaten you legally. I'm not saying it isn't done, but the protester could be charged for that
He should have dropped it on the ground in front of them. Or possibly put a bonnet on the bag, put it in a stroller and pushed it around the protesters asking them to kiss it.
These are good news :-) Anyway I think that not only Christians are like this. In here we have some people protesting in front of clinics, but nobody listens to them and I doubt they are all religious. (Saying this, just to break the idea of only Christians hating abortions). I just don't understand, why they are trying to make decision for other people. Like they don't even don't know the people or why are they doing it and probably will never meet those people (who are going to have an abortion) again, so what's the big deal for them? - but it was out of the topic, I just got angry.
For some Christians, "the big deal" is that we view a fetus as already having life. We are trying to advocate for the baby, who has absolutely no voice or say. We don't want someone to get rid of life.
Oh, thanks, then it sounds kinda logical, that they don't want to have abortion for themselves :-) (sorry, if it sounds ironical, because I really mean it)
They believe that the unborn baby is a life. Imagine if some group of people believed that left-handed redheads were not fully human, and could be killed when their lives were inconvenient. When you argued with them, they said "If you believe that, fine. don't kill them yourself. But don't tell us what to do." Might you march in the street to try to raise awareness? Or would you just say, "Oh well, it's not right for me to kill LHRs, but if those others believe it's right for them, it must be OK."?
You are not comparing equivalent things. For one, abortions are legal within certain constraints. For another, the argument is not about whether or not something is "fully human" as it is illegal for someone to go around killing bald eagles, which are certainly not even partly human. And lastly, left-handed redheads are indisputably (at least to any intelligent and sane person) living beings with higher brain functions and perceptions and whatnot.
I'm just stating that URL!
