Why don't they make the bars closer together? That way the sharks would just bump into it, and no risk of getting stuck. Just saying.

Because closer bars means more bars mor weight and more money

The bars are far apart enough to let the diver out in case of an emergency (this case for example) from all sides

I'm a diver and I've always wanted to do cage diving but I'm afraid to. I dove in Stuarts Cove in the Bahamas and I saw a broken shark cage in their shop, it freaked me out for sure.
