Apparently, where I live, the government had realised that when students graduate, they don't seem to be ready for life (i.e. they don't know how to pay taxes or insurance, what to write on their personal statement for colleges and jobs) so they have made lessons that teach us those things into our school curriculum! Yay!
Not true, school teaches you about accounting, taxes, and how to live in multiple different subjects, it may just be my school but if people aren't dumb enough to realise that then they should not consider themselves to be dumb because of school
I never had any tax form class, but you can do it by following directions and using reading comprehension. When the form says "in box 34, enter the higher of the number in box 30 or $3500" or "If box 55 is greater than your AGI from box 4, enter the number from box 55 into box 56; otherwise enter 0" then you just do that thing. Each step really isn't difficult or complex, even though the entire form seems daunting if you look from a distance. Understanding what sorts of things might save you taxes are things you ought to be able to research because of your self interest.
Some things we might need to learn after school, too.
