As long as there are scientifically illiterate people willing to believe any shit, the "debate" will not end. But it's not a debate. A debate is when opinions can be discussed, but a truth is not open to debate. It's like "debates" about whether or not evolution is real, or about the impact of human activity on climate change. (Thinking of some John Oliver here: "Which number is greater, 15 or 5? Do owls exist? Are there hats?")
