I feel like the only one who doesn't get confused by them, I can't be alone! Even if their symbol is different, they most likely have the same use (Ex. Left one to attack, bottom to jump/run...

They really do, there is no difference, it's always the same set up

The only time I get confused is when I'm telling people to press X on the Playstation when I really mean Square.

I've only played on a playstation twice, so I have noooooo idea what I'm doing, and with the xbox and nintendo they're kind of flipped. I only have a DS myself, so whenever I play my gf's xbox I get mixed up. I want the bottom one to be back and the right one to be yes.

As long as you don't look at the buttons you'll be fine

Er. No, not really. As do the same thing on both, and Bs both go back. They're in different places. X exits out of stuff on the xbox and that's Y on the DS which has... no use most of the time.

Yes but not paying attention to which button is which is very helpful atleast to me because I play american and Japanese games where the setup of controls always differs. It's not triangle circle x and square to me, it's just up right down and left

Yes but that doesn't help in my case, because up right down and left all have different uses. I'd have to pay attention to the buttons because the buttons do the same thing. A B X and Y do the same thing, up right down left do not.

Each one defines their console. I like how they're different.
