Once the last bell of the day rings, school is out.they cannot keep you there or punish you for leaving early.

I think the same should be said with every bell. The teacher should plan to have the lesson done before the bell. I can understand if the class had been rowdy and disruptive but the bell is timed to allow the kids to go to their locker get some water use the bathroom and all before next class.

Yes but that is actually illegal. Once that bell rings the teachers legally can't do anything to you
