I understand but feminism is a lot more than that. It's equality for men and women. It's not for first world country girls to yell at guy for holding a door for them. It's to stop things like honour killings and child marriages and opening education to everyone. It's so women can get the freedom to go in public with out a male guardian. It's to stop male sterio typing and letting them not be stopped by society also. So if you don't need it that's cool it's ok but please do not stop supporting the cause because it's so much more than that. So look into it and look at foundations like he for she. See the truth :)
What the fuck? No-one deserves that, especially if its just because they don't share your opinions, or support your cause. Its feminazi's like that who are really fucking things up for people who are actually trying to make a difference and bring about equality. If someone doesn't support feminism, leave them the fuck alone and let them have their opinion. Focus on the people willing to make a difference and maybe then people will actually be more willing to start making changes. I personally support equality, but I refuse to identify as a feminist because of the bad reputation that some feminazis have created, and I'm damn sure I'm not the only person who feels that way.
There is a huge difference between being a feminist and a femnazi. A feminist believes women should have equal rights with men. So if you like being able to choose your own husband, not be sold from man to man, vote, or generally enjoy your everyday rights, say thank you to the feminists of the world. A femnazi on the other hand is someone who believes women are better than men, and are the generally rude bitches you lot seem to believe a feminist is.

I hate those kinds of feminists. Yes, we understand you stand for women's rights and want equal treatment (i.e. pay, jobs, etc.) No, we don't understand why you feel the need to become feminazis and make it so that you are SUPERIOR to men, instead of making it so called equal like you wanted. Like hunterdunovant said in the first comment, not all feminists are retarded like this. My sister is a strong feminist, but she isn't the type to go to an anti-abuse protest to go and beat up some guys. Feminists (not all) need to realize that there are men feminists too.
You shouldn't measure a movement by a few people following it. In Germany the girls from a political party did these "I don't need feminism because ..."-posters too and they made a fool of themselves since most of them showed they did not at all understand the concept of feminism. I mean the only reason a woman can stand up in public and say "I don't need feminism" is because of feminism. The only reason these women are allowed to take part in politics is because of feminism. So how could you possibly think you don't need it? These rights did not fall from heaven - other women had to fight for them.
Would someone mind explaining why some people choose to be against feminism? I don't really understand. Isn't it a good thing? (Please excuse my inexperienced way of thinking. I usually try not to get involved with these topics.)

Most people don't disagree with the principles of feminism but feel the implementation might be currently flawed. They might think that it's less about equality and more about payback against men.
I see why they may think that, especially with the way feminists have...developed over the years. People would typically call them feminazis, from what I've seen. Thank you, Samurai! :)
Well, haven't been on here for a while, and I am extremely disappointed that this is what I see... No, it is never right for someone to say that someone DESERVES to be sexually assaulted. No one does. Yet, the great irony of it all is that if you are offended by someone insinuating that you ought to be sexually harassed (or worse, raped), then should you not be a feminist? Personally, I've never heard a feminist say that to someone. Ever. It's simply against the principles of feminism. Therefore, if someone has said that to you, then they're just hopping the "bandwagon of feminism." Men and women are not equal, and if you have never felt degraded by gender roles (be it as a man or woman), the that is truly amazing... Yes, I'm a guest, who is stating my opinion. Uh-oh. I don't wish to offend, yet this post is quite contradictory.
A woman who says she is "against feminism" is exactly as stupid as a women who says - for whatever reason - any person deserves to be raped or abused. This is a mental bumfight and not a discussion.
Or - even more likely - its a stupid meninist troll making shit up, cause thats what they do.
How is my statement more generalising than this bullshit posting? Someone "being against feminism", no matter if coming from someone male or female, could that be more general and random? Or those "feminists" allegedly telling her she deserves to get raped? Trollshit.
A person who thinks men are better than women are misogyinsts. A person that thinks that women are better than men is a misandrist. A person who think both are equal is a feminist. Sometimes people say that they are anti-feminist because they do not understand that misandrist does NOT equal feminist. It is not too difficult to understand.and the "feminists" that say that ANYONE should be sexually assaulted are wrong. No one should "deserves to be assaulted" because they don't understand what feminism is. We just need to educate them.
Ok, 1st: fake. 2nd: if it wasn't fake you wouldn't deserve sexual abuse etc. no one does. but as a woman against feminism you deserve to be shamed and shunned for stupidity.
Just because only British celebs were mentioned, it doesn't imply that only british celebs are considered feminists, stop trying to ignite an argument where there isn't cause for one.
Or - even more likely - its a stupid meninist troll making shit up, cause thats what they do.
