Firstly, it's about equity (giving equal opportunities to everyone), not equality.
Secondly, Aristotle thought women were inferior to men, about halfway between the status of a man and that of a slave ("we do not give a fuck about your opinion, but we leave you the right to express it, so you got that going for you, which is nice").
Finally, I always cringe when I read that Aristotle was a polymath. NO, HE WAS NOT. He was a good philosopher, and had some clever ideas (for his time, because we're talking about the philosophical zeitgeist 24 centuries ago), but he was a total dick in science, and science as a whole has been delayed by our faith in what he told us. Shit like there are four elements, two of them attracted towards the bottom (earth and water) and the other two attracted upwards (fire and air). Shit like heavier objects fall faster. Shit like the "rational soul" is in the heart.
Seriously? This thought process is so out of date. Yes Aristotle was a great philosopher but not everything he said was correct. If you're referring to equality for women you have just basically said women are less and not as good as men so we shouldn't try to make the system better? Lame.
So what exactly are you insinuating we apply this logic to? Women? Black people? Religion? Regardless of whether you "think" they are not your "equal", those groups of people shouldn't be treated as anything less than equals under the law. We're all human, therefore we're all equal. Get over it.
They got their little constant agenda running purposely mistaking feminists with what they refer to as feminazis, who - in this agenda - are basically represented by morbidly obese lesbians who hatefully envy men for their penises, insult physically attractive women, start hate campaigns against a man who found a cure to all cancers for wearing the wrong shirt and whatnot. May appear pretty desperate and pathetic, but then: if you remember (or investigate) how these matters were discussed in public 15-20 years ago, you will see things have changed for the worse.
