I'll be honest, I think that intelligence is much more important than appearance, but there are some intelligent girls I won't date because they're not attractive enough...

Seems to me the op can find a person only physically attractive and not in other ways, also it seems s/he is pretty convinced, everybody is exactly.like him/her. I can guarantee though, a lot of people would not date a dumb but attractive person. And I feel pity for anybody who does not believe that.

Well, that's because intelligence may be a single aspect of what one finds attractive. I'd like to date someone who I find attractive both mentally and physically. I sure as hell won't date someone physically attractive, but stupid.

I agree, and still, in the long term (when you're thinking in long terms here) what I really need is what I can only put as spiritual attraction. In that I am a lot like Dr. Hfuhruhurr, who at the end of the movie isn't even dissapointed when his love (remember: he fell in love with the beautiful spirit of a brain in a jar) puts a lot of weight on Kathleen Turner's body. Well, that's all just a lump of flesh, and as entertaining as that may be at times, its just a little fraction of the rest of your life. What is all that compared to reading each other interesting passages from the newspaper or cuddling on the sofa.

When there's a post about a person with a hot body everyone's like "boohoo you're so superficial" but when there's a post about inner beauty everyone's like "don't be a liar, an attractive outside is important". lol.

Just because you value intelligence more than physical beauty doesn't mean that you will date a smart person you find unattractive. It's not as if you don't value physical beauty and want to be attractive to your so

Well the guy I'm currently crushing on isn't very attractive. He's not ugly by all means but not hot either. I like his dorky and nerdy personality
